Weekend Highlights...
Fresh Porcini mushrooms - this will likely be the last batch of fresh summer porcini we'll be able to get, as the season is winding down up in Oregon.  Chef Clyde is preparing them oven roasted, in the risotto, and with fresh tagliatelle.

Featured Wine of the weekend is Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Gran Sasso 2007 - Deep coloured, clean, fresh and plummy on the nose, rich, supple and accessible on the palate. $6 gls / $22 btl.

New Wines:
Here are the newest selections we've added to our wine list:
  • From Campania, Greco di Tufo, D'Antiche Terre (dry, slightly acidic, with an intense straw color).
  • From Puglia, Primitivo di Manduria, Koine` Closely related to Zinfandel.  This wine is a little smoky, spicy, and berried. Excellent with earthy foods.
  • From Sicily, Hiera`, Carlo Hauner (blend of Calabrese, Alicante, Nocera). A full bodied southerner.
  • From Piemonte, Gavi, Stefano Farina (Cortese grapes). Fragrant and delicate aroma, with a hint of almond blossom, and light minerality
